William J. Pursley
Bill majored in public accounting and received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Gonzaga University in 1969. He received his law degree from Santa Clara University in 1972 and became a member of the California State Bar that same year.
After the bar exam, Bill entered the U.S. Army as an officer. Upon his discharge, he became a staff attorney for the State Compensation Insurance Fund and worked in the Los Angeles and Sacramento offices.
Upon leaving State Compensation Insurance Fund in 1984, Bill helped form the law firm of Wyatt, Carrico & Pursley and eventually branched out on his own in 1989.
Bill is a certified specialist in workers' compensation, a judge pro-tem, an arbitrator, a past president of the Sacramento County Bar Workers' Compensation Section, and a member of the State Bar Workers Compensation Section.

Stephen Chew
Stephen has practiced representation of employers before the courts and the Workers Compensation Appeals Board for 29 years. His practice has included representation in Workers Compensation claims at every level, from initial handling to appeals. He currently emphasizes representation in subrogation cases before the Courts, offering personal handling of cases in which employers have the opportunity to recover the sometimes sizeable amount spent after an injured worker files a lawsuit in Superior Court for work related in juries. He also specializes in representation of carriers and employers in other types of subrogation cases, the representation of uninsured employers in workers compensation cases, the defense of 132a, Serious and Willful and Punch Press cases, and a wide variety of other litigation matters, particularly business litigation.
